This focused, in-person training aligns with the Sheriff’s Office mission to protect life and enhance community safety. It equips deputies with practical, field-ready tools for identifying and supporting individuals in crisis.

You will build:

• Confidence in responding to suicide-related situations

• Competence in applying effective, real-time interventions

• Comfort in navigating tough conversations with professionalism and care

You’ll learn to:

• Use respectful, non-judgmental communication

• Explore ambivalence and support reasons for living

• Build collaborative Crisis Response Plans proven to reduce suicide attempts
