PROSPER Online Free Suicide Prevention Training
We are grateful to our Wyoming state partners and sponsors for making this training possible, ensuring Wyoming communities have access to meaningful suicide prevention support. This session is being offered specifically for individuals who live or work in Wyoming as part of a state-funded effort to support local communities.
Dates: Wednesdays, January 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM MT
Location: Online via Zoom (link sent 24 hours prior)
Continuing Education: 6 CE Credits (CME, APA, ACE, IPCE, BACB)
Attendance at all three sessions is required to receive credit.
About the Training
Join the PROSPER Suicide Prevention Training to build confidence, competence, and comfort in supporting individuals at risk for suicide. This interactive, evidence-based series combines discussion, video examples, and skills practice to provide practical tools for compassionate and effective intervention.
Who Should Attend
Open to educators, healthcare providers, faith leaders, peer support professionals, first responders, supervisors, and others interested in suicide prevention.
Learning Objectives
• Use respectful, nonjudgmental language when speaking with individuals at risk for suicide.
• Collaboratively assist adults and youths with suicidal symptoms in ways aligned with their values and priorities.
• Conduct a suicide risk assessment in 8 to 10 minutes.
• Explore ambivalence and reasons for living with individuals at risk.
• Develop a collaborative Crisis Response Plan, proven to reduce suicide attempts by up to 76 percent.
• Provide brief interventions to deactivate the suicidal mode.
