Practice, not just information

Make learning
feel human.

People arrive with different experiences, questions and levels of confidence. Our approach starts there.

The planned pathways pair useful information with time to reflect, ask questions and think through next steps. Community education and clinical training have different purposes; we make those boundaries explicit so people can choose appropriately.

Learning should respect individual choice. Participation in personal storytelling is never a requirement, and a workshop is never a substitute for urgent support.

For everyday people

Community connection

Thrive Together Foundation

A starting point for neighbors, family members, volunteers and anyone who wants to be more prepared to support another person. The focus is approachable language, thoughtful listening and knowing where to turn.

Who it’s for

Adults in community groups, libraries, faith communities and local organizations.

Learning format

Planned facilitated workshop with guided discussion and small-group practice.

What we plan to cover

  • Practice listening without jumping to conclusions.
  • Explore how to start a direct, compassionate conversation.
  • Become familiar with established support resources.

What you’ll take forward: A personal resource list and a clear understanding of the limits of a community support role.

For organizations & teams

More connected workplaces

Thrive Together Foundation

Bring prevention education into the everyday life of an organization. This pathway gives teams space to examine how support is communicated, how people ask for help and what happens after a concern is raised.

Who it’s for

Supervisors, people teams, public-service organizations and employee groups.

Learning format

Planned team workshop and leadership discussion, tailored to the organization.

What we plan to cover

  • Map existing employee and community support options.
  • Clarify roles, confidentiality boundaries and escalation routes.
  • Build a practical communication and follow-up plan.

What you’ll take forward: A draft support pathway to review with qualified organizational and clinical advisers.

For helping professionals

Clinical prevention skills

Thrive Together Foundation

A pathway toward more structured learning for professionals whose roles include assessment or intervention. Foundation offerings remain in development; existing PROSPER training provides a separate, established starting point.

Who it’s for

Licensed clinicians and other helping professionals working within their qualifications.

Learning format

Refer to PROSPER for current course formats, requirements and enrollment.

What we plan to cover

  • Explore training in collaborative assessment and intervention.
  • Understand how structured learning fits a professional role.
  • Identify opportunities for continuing practice and consultation.

What you’ll take forward: A route to current course information—not a substitute for professional training or supervision.

For local conveners

Community leadership

Thrive Together Foundation

Prevention efforts need people who can bring others together. This pathway centers on the practical work of convening a group, listening to local needs and creating a shared, achievable plan.

Who it’s for

Coalitions, nonprofit teams, civic groups and community organizers.

Learning format

Planned facilitated planning sessions with a community action worksheet.

What we plan to cover

  • Identify existing community strengths and unmet needs.
  • Invite lived-experience perspectives with clear support and consent.
  • Choose realistic actions, owners and review dates.

What you’ll take forward: A small, shared action plan grounded in local relationships rather than a one-size-fits-all campaign.

For caring communities

Showing up after loss

Thrive Together Foundation

People affected by suicide loss deserve compassion, privacy and reliable support. This planned learning pathway focuses on the role of a caring community and how to connect people with established bereavement resources.

Who it’s for

Community groups and organizations seeking to respond more thoughtfully after a loss.

Learning format

Planned awareness session with signposting to specialist support.

What we plan to cover

  • Discuss respectful communication and different support needs.
  • Understand the importance of consent and individual choice.
  • Find specialist organizations and survivor-support resources.

What you’ll take forward: A resource pathway. This offering is not grief therapy or a replacement for specialist postvention services.

For continued growth

Learning that continues

Thrive Together Foundation

A workshop should be a beginning, not an endpoint. This pathway is designed around reflection, skill refreshers and opportunities to revisit the practical questions that arise once people return to their everyday roles.

Who it’s for

Past participants and teams looking to keep education active over time.

Learning format

Planned facilitated learning circles and short refresher sessions.

What we plan to cover

  • Reflect on what has been useful and what remains unclear.
  • Revisit resource pathways as services and needs change.
  • Set appropriate next learning goals.

What you’ll take forward: A learning plan that keeps practice, reflection and responsible boundaries in view.

A thoughtful learning pathway

Start where you are.
Keep moving forward.

01

Choose your role.

Are you learning as a neighbor, a manager, a community organizer or a clinician? Begin with the responsibilities you actually hold.

02

Find the right fit.

Review the intended audience, goals and boundaries before choosing a course or resource.

03

Make time to practice.

Learning is more than attendance. Allow time to reflect and revisit what you have learned.

04

Stay connected.

Keep trusted resources close and seek qualified help when a situation goes beyond your role.

Before you begin

Common questions.

Can I register for a Foundation program today?

Not yet. The Foundation pathways are in development. PROSPER’s events page lists its own current opportunities; requirements and availability are set by PROSPER.

Do I need a clinical background?

Not for the planned community pathways. Clinical education is different and may require specific qualifications. Always review the provider’s requirements before enrolling.

Can a group request more information?

You can explore existing training and organizational services through PROSPER’s contact page. Foundation scheduling and contact channels have not been established.

What if I need support right now?

You do not need to take a course to reach out for help. In the U.S., call or text 988. Visit our support page for other established services, including international options.
